Nitroglycerin Ointment 0.4%

Nitroglycerin Ointment 0.4% is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain associated with chronic anal fissures. It works by relaxing the internal anal sphincter through nitric oxide-mediated smooth muscle relaxation, reducing resting anal pressure and promoting healing of the fissure. Applied topically every 12 hours inside the anal canal.
