Solaris has announced the launch of brivaracetam tablets, a generic version of UCB’s branded epilepsy medication Briviact.
The tablets are approved for managing partial-onset seizures in patients as young as 1 month old — a condition that impacts millions of people each year.
The generic is offered in five strengths — 10mg, 25mg, 50mg, 75mg, and 100mg — and comes in 60-count bottles.
This release marks a significant step for Solaris, which has traditionally focused on topical products such as gels, creams, and dermatological treatments. Brivaracetam represents the company’s first venture into oral Schedule V (C-V) controlled medications, signaling a broader strategic direction for the brand.
Solaris described the launch as an opportunity to drive growth while also addressing the needs of an underserved patient population.
